Employee Timetables

The railroaders bible. Shows stations, speeds, basic track diagrams, rules and how to operate in certain situations. Older timetables show station times through various stations on the route.

Track Charts

A track chart shows the railroad in a graphic form. The line is displayed in a top down view, showing sidings and spurs, as well as the main tracks. The elevation and grade, signals, bridges, road crossings, culverts and the names of control points are also shown. Maintenance items, such as rail, ballast, tie and surfacing data is shown as a running record of work and repairs made to the line.

Drawings

Drawings are the heart and soul of a individual railroad. They were what set railroads apart. Be it signs, track structure, stations, even pipe, these drawings show you in detail the various items that lined the roadway.

Valuation Drawings

Mandated by the ICC in the early 1900’s, the valuation map was a system designed to tax railroads. Now, they are an amazing tool for the modeler or historian who wishes to see the railroad as it once was. Top down views showing roads, towns, property lines, siding and more.

Manuals

These vary. Some are classification manuals, some are industry manuals, some are as simple as how to operate or conduct maintenance on a locomotive.
